Rick Gylling, Senior Associate
Rick Gylling is a senior associate with ERS Global
providing executive management expertise across several
functional areas. Most recently, as the VP of Supply
Chain Sustainability, he led the pioneering innovations
at Kraft Foods to integrate sustainability into their
existing business model.
Rick's previous responsibilities included leading
the Kraft North American supply chain organization
as the VP Customer Service & Logistics. This
organization is responsible for the order management,
product supply, distribution and transportation
functions for all Kraft's North American consumer

Reducing waste is a key element of making business
more sustainable. The US food industry has focused
on reducing waste created by food products that
become unsalable to consumers. As the VP Sales Operations

source reduction initiative called the Freshness
Efficiency Incentive. This program aligned the economic
incentives to encourage trading partners to cooperate

share the benefits of reduced costs. A win-win opportunity
achieved through collaborative efforts across the
value chain.
